Michael Rowe graduated from Valley High School in 1986. He then attended Iowa State University, Bellevue University and American Military University where he earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Computer Information Systems and Criminal Justice as well as a Master of Arts degree in Homeland Security.

Michael retired from the Navy reserve in 2017 after 32(!) years of service. He also worked with the Douglas County Department of Corrections for 15 years. Currently, Michael is the President and Grandmaster instructor of Alpha Omega Martial Arts in Wahoo, Nebraska where instructors aim to coach, motivate, inspire and transform the lives of those who choose the martial arts to improve themselves.
